Vancouver Province writer Shimmy Jimmie Jamieson says the Vancouver Canucks owe Haliburton cottager Cody Hodgson an apology. Why? According to Jamieson, Hodgson will be missing this year's training camp and prospects games which means, according to Coach Alain Vigneault, that Canooks' 2008 first round pick (10th overall) will be starting his season with the AHLs Manitoba Moose. You will note that this writer has been calling out the Crazy Canucks for two years re their unrelenting and crazy as batshit handling of a kid who could well be their captain one day. Shame Shame Shame on canucks!!! ... Get the whole story here. Some paras lifted from Jamieson's cogent piece:

It's a saga that has had more jaw-dropping twists than an X-Files episode, but finally there is some clarity in the fog of uncertainty that has surrounded Canucks prospect Cody Hodgson for the past 13 months.
Hodgson, who has been labouring with back problems since being injured doing dryland training in July of 2009, arrived in town Wednesday to undergo a medical evaluation by the Canucks. He spoke with The Province briefly at Rogers Arena on Thursday, saying he felt good and that a torn back muscle had healed, but begged off on further comment until the medical exam was completed.
On Friday morning, as the other prospects were made available to the media heading into this weekend's rookie camp and tournament in Penticton, reporters were told that Hodgson would not be available to them after all, that he would not be participating in the camp/tournament and that he needed to go through more tests before he was cleared to play.
“He will undergo further evaluation this week,” said Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault at the Friday media availability. “We'll have an update on (Sept. 17) when (main) camp starts.”
It was both familiar and discouraging news, but those in Canucks Nation who are about to give up on the 20-year-old former Canadian major junior player of the year should put their concerns on hold.
The Province has learned from a source with an understanding of Hodgson's situation that he is close to being 100 per cent healthy for the first time since injuring his back, but may not be able to participate in contact until the end of this month." You will note with interest the continuing line of pure and unadulterated line of bovine excrement lingering on the lips of my favorite epithet Alain the mild.
Apology?
Cody Hodgson deserves more that.
He deserves to be traded to a team that will effin play him.
An I don't mean the Moose.
And wait ... lest that be taken the wrong way.
I am transplanted from the Peg and I loves me my Moose.
But Cody Hodgson should be toiling in the show.
And not that slapdick sitcom - which masquerades as a franchise in Van City!
Oh and piss off Alain.
You're tryin' my patience.
Might be time to hand over the reins to someone with a modicum of pre-season judgement and game-day savvy.
Spitballin on my own dime here folks.

Love y'all and peace out from Seamus and Terrance.
And yes I know ... my motto.
